No, we wouldn’t disturb her peaceful rest For we know above all that God knows best. So He called her to His home on high But we will miss our Mother till the day we die. Sleep, dear Mother, we would have it so. The parting will not be for long, and you were ready to go. Sadly missed by the family, relatives and friends.

Donations, which may be of any amount will go to the United Nations Food and Agriculture project which sends seeds and fertilizer to these areas which need aid. The theme is “Help for Self Help.”

Reelsville entered the fourth quarter trailing 54-48. A pressing Indian team began to push Fillmore, but the Cards had scented victory. Reelsville began to lose steam and the 4:22 mark was reached and Butterworth’s Cards held a 68-56 advantage. Several fast breaks and good rebounding were too much for the Indians. The fourth quarter and the game ended with Fillmore having a second chance Saturday against the Tiger Cubs.

Tigers Defeat Wabash, 66-52 Jim Callane, Dean Rush and Morgan Everson all hit in double figures to power DePauw over Wabash last night 66-52 before 1650 fans. The victory, precarious for three-fourths of the game, was the Tigers’ ninth in 21 games and their seventh in 12 Bowman games. The freshmen won also,

89-68.

Saturday DePauw ends its season in a precedent setting afternoon game at two against Ball State in Muncie. It will be the conference’s first daylight contest. Bruce Osborne’s free throw lifted DePauw to a 37-36 edge with 13:44 to play fn last night’s game. Though the Tigers weren’t able to relax the rest of the way, they did succeed in opening up more daylight as time ran out. With 10 minutes left Morgan Everson tipped in a basket to make it 45-40 and Dean Rush added a free throw and a fast break goal within the next 60 seconds for a 48-40 count. Osborne and reserve Caveman guard Dean Stepp traded two pointers before Everson batted in a basket on his third try and Callane answered a Wabash free throw with a pair of fielders, the last one that made it 56-43 on a nifty interception for a lonesome layup. Wabash chopped the score back to 60-52 on two straight baskets with 2:33 to go but Rush hit a turning jump and Callane added two free throws and another lonesome layup for the final count.

Bruce Berg, son of Prof, and Mrs. Herman Berg, has been awarded a $300.00 scholarship to the Interloehen Music Camp in a contest sponsored by the Indiana Federation of Music Clubs. He is a student of Josef Gingold, head of the violin department at Indiana University. After the contestants were screened, Bruce was one of the final ten students eligible to compete for the award. This 15 year old boy has been making quite a name for himself in the music world. At the age of 8 he became the youngest person ever to appear as soloist with the DePauw Symphony Orchestra. He has consistently won Class A Division I ratings in the Solo and Ensemble Contests since he started entering as a seventh grader. His most outstanding achievement was in 1962 when he appeared as soloist with the Indianapolis Symphony as winner of the most outstanding young instrumentalist in Indiana. He hasn’t been forgotten in his own home town, for the Greencastle Morning Musicale awarded him first prize in the "Best Musician Contest" in 1963.

Begin Training KANSAS CITY, Mo. UPI — The Kansas City Athletics launched their 1964 baseball season today by officially opening spring training in Florida. But Charles O. Finley wasn’t celebrating. Neither was the team’s hometown. Instead, while the players worked out under the sun, their owner met with city officials in the third consecutive day of negotiations here on a new lease for Municipal Stadium. Until a lease is signed, the Athletics have no place to play their regular season home games.
