Set your table with sparkling freshness. Then serve the latest chicken stew seasoned with Knorr soup mix, slim bread sticks and a sleek salad. For a heartier salad try the famous Any Bean Salad. Modern Chicken Stew 1 broiler-fryer chicken, cut up Flour 2 tablespoons Mazola corn oil 1 cup water 1 envelope Swiss recipe onion soup mix 2 tablespoons tomato paste V2 cup sliced carrots cup sliced celery % cup coarsely chopped green pepper Dredge chicken with flour. Heat corn oil in skillet; add chicken; cook over medium heat, turning as needed, until golden brown on all sides. Add water; bring to boil. Stir in soup mix and tomato paste. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add carrots; simmer 15 minutes. Add celery and green pepper; simmer until chicken is tender, about 10 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 servings. Any Bean Salad 1 (1-pound 13-ounce) can beans 1 tablespoon chopped scallions 1 tablespoon chopped green pepper 1 tablespoon chopped pimiento ia cup Mazola corn oil Yt, cup vinegar 1 tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt ^4 teaspoon pepper 2 radishes, sliced Drain heans; reserve liquid for marinade, adding water, if necessary, to make % cup liquid. Combine beans, scallions, green pepper, and pimiento in medium-size bowl. Mix corn oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and bean liquid together; pour over vegetables and marinate in refrigerator at least three hours. Add radishes just before serving.
