President Lyndon Johnson seems in a reflective mood as he meets with Indiana's senior Senator, Vance Hartke. The two, long-time friends from Johnson's days in the Senate, discussed pending legislation and matters of interest to Indiana. Tha informal get-together took place in Washington recently.

France To Have Nuclear Weapons PARIS UPI—President Charles de Gaulle said today France is. determined to have the latest nuclear weapons, although she is enjoying peace aboard and at home. De Gaulle spoke at a crawded news conference at the Elysee Palace—his first since July 29 last year and his ninth since he became president five years ago. The whole French cabinet and nearly 1,000 French and foreign newsmen and officials were packed into the ornate, gilded state salon of the palace.
