Lewis of Indianapolis visited the Charles Smiths Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Crosby and grandsons, visited Sunday, January 19 with Huldah Wright, Miss Carol Kennedy of Noblesville. died suddenly on Friday, January 17th. She was the greatgranddaughter of Mrs. Edith McKamey, a great niece of Mrs. Helen Phillips. Her grandmother, formerly of Fillmore community was Effie McKamey Kennedy. Air. and Mrs. Max West and family were called to Otterbein Sunday by the death of Mrs. Ted Johnson. Mrs. Ethel Barker spent Friday with Mrs. Ida Day. Rev. and Mrs. Wilbur Day, Greencastle had a dinner for his mother, Ida Day on her 91st birthday. Other guests were Charley Day and Mr. and Mrs. Ora Day. Airs. Ida Day spent Wednesday with Airs. The East Alarion Homemakers Club met Friday afternoon with Mrs. Icy Bridges. Members answered roll call with “What's New in Refreshments were served. Miss Darla Wade was honor guest at a bridal shower Friday night. The hostesses, Mrs. Vera Hutchison, Mrs. Mary Skinner and Miss Carol Parker carried out the colors of gold, pink and white. The bride-elect received many gifts. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bowman and family moved recently into the Bitzer property, across from the telephone office. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stewart and daughter moved recently to Fort Myers, Florida. Their address is 1427 Davis Drive. The Stitch and Chatter Club met Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. Marjorie Oliver, with 16 members present. Mrs. Thelma Wright furnished the entertainment. Delicious refreshments were served. The Mothers Club will meet Tuesday, Feb. 4th with Mrs. Win. Oliver. The Beechwood Pleasant Circle will meet Wednesday, Feb. 5th with Mrs. Jessie Arnold. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Tanksiey and family called Sunday afternoon on Mr. and Airs. Cleo Shuck. Mrs. Avaril Huller spent Thursday in Indianapolis with Mr. and Mrs. Arless Decker.
