Clayton, Cards Win Net Tilts Fillmore hosted a Holiday Invitiational Basketball tourney last night for three Hendricks county ball teams. In the first round of action Clayton rolled over Amo 89-71. Clayton who holds a record of 8 and 2 led Amo at all stops. R. Franklin, Woods and Mitchell were high point men for Clayton with 22 each, and Fuson of Amo led his team with 24. In the second game of the evening Fillmore fought a hard playing team from Stilesville to win 61-56. Fillmore’s 6' 4’’ Ken Mundy played a full quarter and collected a total of 9 points with a broken wrist. Coach Butterworth stated that the broken wrist bones are in such a position that playing would not hinder them from healing. Mundy broke the wrist while playing in the same game that Howard Miller injured his back. Miller has since recovered and is back on the lineup. Craig Evans was leading scorer for Fillmore with 18 and D. Whaley pushed 21 through the net for Stilesville. Tonight Fillmore will challenge Clayton for the tournament trophy and Amo will play Stilesville in a confeolation game.
