Cold First Half Defeats Tigers Outscoring DePauw 22-2 while the Tigers were agonizing through an eight minute, 15 second frigid spell in the first half, Denison University went cn to wrap up a 71-55 basketball verdict in Granville, O., Saturday

night.

Tonight the Tigers face more Buckeye opposition, travelling to major college power, Miami University, in Oxford. The Miamians 3-2 for year, have lost to Cincinnati (60-56) and to the University of Dayton, 87-81, in

double overtime.

Franklin College provides DePauw’s last pre-Christmas test here Thursday night. DePauw skipped out to an early 7-6 lead against Dension with 13:50 left in the first half. Then a combination of errant shots, plus defensive and offensive miscues, piled on top of each other to smother the Tigers under a 28-9 deficit before reserve guard Skip Collins hit his first basket of the season to move it

to 28-11.

Collins, one of four subs on the floor at the time, stole the ball from a DU guard on the ensuing inbound pass to score again and put DePauw as close as it was to get—15 points—28-13, the rest of the half. At intermission it

was 39-20.

Golden Link club will meet Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. with Mrs. Sylvia Shannon for a pitchin dinner. Remember your secret pal gift and gift for the grab bag. Margaret Glidewell will have the program.
