Deer Poachers Will Face Dogs CRANE, UPI — Crane Naval Ammunition Depot guards were under orders today to release K-9 Corps dogs when trespassers resist arrest, as a result of deer poachers shooting at security guards last weekend. Poachers were discovered dressing a deer on the federal reservation last Saturday night. Guards tried to arrest two men but a third opened fire on the guards from a hiding place, and all three escaped. The guards did not return the fire but shot into the air in warning.
