Once you know a few rules, you can make excellent coffee for any number of people. Let’s assume you’ll be making forty average servings. Allow eve pound of around coffee to two rjallons of water. Some simple arithmetic will enable you to adapt the recipe to a larger or smaller group. Even easier: employing any standard measuring device, use one part coffee to six parts water for perfect results If you use a coffee urn, use the suggested coffee-to-water proportions—drip grind coffee, of course—then follow the brewing instructions given by the manufacturer of the urn
