FERTILIZER I>ISf USSED LAFAYETTE UP1 Indiana's annual use of fertilizer is expected to be nearly doubled in the next few years, a speaker told a Purdue conference here Tuesday. Werner* L. Nelson, midwest director of the American Potash Institute, told the Indiana Fertilizer Conference that Hoosier farmers seeking higher yields from soil chemistry and fertilizer used about 1,600,000 tons of lime in 1961 and ultimately will use 4,440,000 tons a year.
