Amateur UaskethuU News Greencastle and ho.st Reelsville squared off in the second week's play of the Reelsville Amateur Basketball League Sunday in the first game of the afternoon with Greencastle defeating Reelsville 92 to 76. Ron Mitchell and Jim Jones led the Greencastle team with 28 and 26 points respectively. Harold Barnett led Reelsville with 18 points. Brazil narrowly escaped the hands of a red hot Belle Union squad in the second game as Belle Union lead throughout the first half by 12 to 14 points. The second half spelled disaster as Brazil caught up with Belle Union at the 3rd quarter mark. In the 4th quarter Belle Union Couldn't buy a basket and Brazil won a well deserved victory 64 to 55. points In the third game Plainfield defeated Cloverdale 81 to 61. Bill Strafford and Floyd Edwards lead the Plainfield team to victory as both men held a hot hand scoring 27 and 25 points respectively. James Miller lead Cloverdale with 17 points. Next Sunday, Nov 17th Belle Union vs. Plainfield at 12:00 p.m. Cloverdale vs Greencastle in the second game at 1:30 p.m. At 3:00 p.m. Brazil plays Reelsville.
