Norris, a junior at Purdue University, is a veteran of 11 years of 4-H work. "Nowhere is there greater opportunity for leadership and personal development than in our local club,” he said. "4-H has given me the opportunity to achieve in a wide variety of fields—demonstrations, judging and project work. "4-H teaches the lessens one must learn to compete successfully in the game of lile.” Miss Klosterman was a junior leader for seven years and now is active in file Collegiate 4-H Club at Purdue University. She plans to teach home economics and become an adult 4-H leader. "After 11 years in 4-H I’ve learned that anyone willing to work hard can accomplish much. I consider my greatest achievements to be those which I learned through my club project and leadership work.” The 4-H Club leadership program has an enrollment of more than 184.000. It provides opportunities for young persons to develop skills and attitudes vital for effective leadership in a democratic society.
