Slimane Hoffman, flew to Marrakech as special envoys from Ben Bella for talks with Morocco's King Hassan. The pair met Tuesday with Moroccan officials and returned Tuesday night to inform Ben Bella of the situation. Both sides claimed victory in fighting for Hassi Beida and Tinnjoub. two tiny border outposts about 550 miles southwest of Algiers. Ben Bella announced the call up of all veterans of the fight for independence from France
in a speech before 150.000 persons Tuesday night in Algiers. He called King Hassan II of Morocco a stooge of neo-colon-ialism. The crowd roared its approval and then surged through the city howling antiMoroccan slogans and chanting "Hassan assassin” in front of the Mgr cean Embassy.

She is now clinical instructor at Chicago State Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. There will be a Hootenanny party and wiener roast for the Windy Hill Country Club Junior High school members and guests, Friday, October 18th. from 8 to 10 p. m. Mrs. Charles Purcell, Roachdale, county president of the Federation of Clubs and some of the members entertained the State President Mrs. Vernon Childs, Hebron; 1st vice president, Mrs. David Martin, Ft. Wayne; and the 3rd. vice, Mrs. Andrew' Russell, Gary, with a buffet supper on Tuesday evening prior to the Fifth District Convention being held today. WASHINGTON UPI — The nation’s industrial output was up slightly in September, nudged by the auto industry which showed signs of coming to life again. The Federal Reserve Board reported that industrial production last month was 125.7 per cent of the 1957-59 average. This was about one-tenth of a percentage point higher than August and 5 per cent above a year ago. The index—which measures output of the nation’s mines, factories and utilities-droppcd last month for the first time since December. It showed
signs no w of starting back up. The board said that auto assemblies, v/hich had declined in August, increased 3 per cent in September. Advance reports indicated a further rise was in the making this month. The lull in the auto industry marked the traditional changeover peroid when the auto makers tool up for the new models.

Bankers Attend Automation Meeting Staff members of the Central National Bank and First Citizens Bank & Trust Company were among the 158 bankers representing 11 banks who attended the National Association of Bank Auditors and Controllers meeting at Turkey Run State Park Hotel Tuesday evening. The speaker of the evening, Harold K. Hall, President, Computers Service Center, Indianapolis, Indiana, discussed the evolution of accounting from the crude methods used at the turn of the century as compared wuth the present modern methods used through automatic mechanized calculation machinery. The speaker emphasized the advantages of automation in banking, stating that more accurate and time saving benefits are derived and enabling the banks to offer better service to their customers as w’ell as many more services by utilizing the speed of electronic
machinery.
