FERN VFW9 Robert Burks Is confined to the Putnam County Hospital with a back injury he received while working at the Farm Bureau Thursday afternoon. Rodney York called on Mrs. Robert Burks and family Saturday evening. He is on furlough from the Navy, stationed at New York. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Heber entertained Tuesday evening with a 6 o'clock dinner in honor of their nephew and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Heber from Dearborn, Michigan. Those present were Air. and Mrs. Bill Perry and daughter, Amerta, Jimmie Clark of Greeneastle, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hutchison and sons Donnie and Ronnie Warren of Cloverdale, R. R. 1, Mr. and Mrs. Larry McAllister, Air. and Mrs. A I*. Stoner, Air. and Mrs. Robert Burks and family, Jane, Barbara, Patty and Robbie and Air. and Airs. Don Heber. Members of the Saddle Club were out to Ernest Hebers to eat watermelon Sunday afternoon. The family of Air. and Mrs. Jean Alsip is reported on the sick list with the flu. Air. and Mrs. Joy Cummings were in Cloverdale Saturday afternoon to attend the funeral of their nephew, Loyal Cummings, who passed away Thursday at Indianapolis. Air. and Airs. Chester Hutchison and sons, Ronnie and Donnie Warren, have moved to their new home on Manhattan road, from Cloverdale.
