Tiger Cubs Third

The eighth annual Van Buren Invitational Cross Country Meet was held Friday. The teams participating were from Garfield, Gerstmeyer, Greencastle, Schulte and Van Buren.

King, from Garfield, set new record of 8:46. The old record was 9:02. R. Chadd ran a fine time of 9:05.

The Cubs placed third w r ith Garfield and Gerstmeyer in the lead and Shulte and Van Buren following. Greencastle’s record now stands at 9-3.

The top three runners were: 1. King, Garfield; 2. Petzold, Gerstmeyer; 3. Chadd, Greencastle.
