“Squeals” On Pop LONDON UPI — Nine-month-old Steven Carroll “squealed” on his father, Albert Carroll, and Thursday it cost the 28-year-old professional boxer a year in jail for receiving a stolen driver’s license. Police called at Carroll’s apartment to investigate the theft of a truck and were asked to be quiet because the baby was asleep. Just then the child began to cry. Police found a stolen license and the license plates of
the stolen truck under his crib mattress.

Thorlton of 333 Greenwood A v e., Greencastle, Ind., was promoted to his present rank, Aug. 9. at the U. S. Naval Communication Station Honolulu, Wahiawa, Hawaii. Lt. <j.g.) Thorlton, who entered the service in September 1961, is a graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle.
