Pleads Guilty To Counterfeiting INDIANAPOLIS UPI—Ralph Janies Brunet, 45, Frankfort, pleaded guilty to a charge that he manufactured $1,712,700 in counterfeit $10 bills after taking a short-course in printing. Brunet’s plea was accepted by Federal Judge S. Hugh Dillia, who ordered a pre-sentence investigation. The goveinment charged Brunet printed the bogus bills but never tried to pass any of them. Elmer W. Pettit, .Tr^ pleaded innocent to a charge of bank robbery in the $15,917 holdup July 11 of a bank at Fishers. But Mrs. Bettie Jo Hansen, who was Charged in the same holdup, pleaded guilty and a pre-sentence investigation was ordered. Miss Nola Shelton, 22, Indianapolis, pleaded guilty on bank burglary and postoffice burglary charges in connection with an interstate burglary ring. But the case of Dallas Dean Reed, 23, Inlianapolis, charged in the same alleged ring, was continued. Henry F. Boruff, 45. Tipton, pleaded innocent to charges of fraud by wire. Boruff was
charged with receiving $50 for payment of non-existent auto repair bills.
SPECIAL OFFERINGS INDIANAPOLIS UPI—Special offerings will be taken this fall in Christian Disciples of Christ churches to provide financial aid for pastors who lose their pulpits because of their racial convictions. The special offerings, with a goal of $300,000, will be talren Oct. 20 and Oct. 27 in the denomination’s churches. Part of the money collected will be to “help persons caught up in the current national crisis in moral and civil rights."
