IN MEMORY In loving memory of Raymond Phillips who passed away Ang. 11, 1961. Remembrance is a golden chain, Death tries to break, but all in vain; To have, to love, and then to part, Is the greatest sorrow of ones heart; The years may wipe out many things, But this they wipe out never— The memory of those happy days, When we were all together. A face we loved the best And think of him when the sun's Last ray, goes down in the far off West. We miss you no less as the time Passes on. Than we did on the day of your going For absence can never close the door of our hearts And the lamp of our love is still glowing Your heart was the trust in all the wide world Your love the best to recall; For no one on earth can take your place. You are still the dearest of all. Sadly missed by wife Vera, son Ronnie, and mother. , Ip Committee OK's Profits Tax Cut WASHINGTON UPI- The House Ways and Means Committee Friday approved reductions of 16 and 20 per cent in the taxes individuals must pay on profits from sales of stocks and other property This completed final committee action on all of the structural revisions in all personal income taxes recommended by Kennedy except for elemination of the preferential tax treatment of income from stock dividends. It also is expected to approve across-the board reductions in individual and corporation tax rates, thereby completing action on the big tax bill. two years.
