Nikita Talks Of German Problem WASHINGTON TPI — Soviet Premier Khrushchev told America officials at the nuclear test ban treaty ceremonies that either a pro-West or pro-Commurist solution of tne uennan problem would be "foolish” because it would "lead to war." ItROTHEK. SISTER III RT PLYMOUTH UPI — The Carothers children have had thenups and downs the past few days jih the equine branch of the animal family. Last Friday, Bill Carothers was participating in a horse show at Centennial Park when the animal fell on him. breaking one of his toes in two places. He was treated at a hospital and released. On Wednesday afternoon. Bill’s 11-year-old sister. Christine, was riding her pony at her home on R.R. 1 when the animal slipped and fell on her, fracturing her leg. She was hospitalized.

late at night.

The Putnam Co. Farm Bureau sponsors it for publicity and good will. Handy’s Dairy was very cooperative in furnishing the milk and making it possible for us to sell both white and chocolate milk for 5c a glass. Any profit from this project is donated to

the Fair association.

This project was started 7 or S years ago and is growing more popular each year with bothc young and old. Some drinking from 4 to 5 glasses at a time and

Farm Bureau milk stand at the fair has been so popular that the Montgomery County last year started one at their fair and this year the Vermillion County Farm Bureau started one at their fair. All report a great success. Thursday had the largest sale of milk between 65 and 70 gallon or around 1100 cups. The otherdays were running close to 60 gallon a day. Windy Hill Swim Team Wins Medals The swimmers from Windy Hill Swim Team attended the state Elks Invitational Swim meet at Terre Haute on August 3. The local swimmers won seven first place medals. John Gough received first place medals for freestyle and broke the record. Nancy Grimes also broke the record time for backstroke and received a first place medal. The girl’s relay team. Sue Hickman, Nancy Grimes, Linda EJlis, and Cindy Greves received first place medals. Second place ribbons were taken by Susie Grimes in freestyle and backstroke; and Nancy Fletcher in breast stroke. Frank Hirt in free style. Third ribbons were taken by Toney Harmless in freestyle and Cindy Greves in breast stroke. Toney Harmless received a fourth place ribbon in breast stroke and Linda Ellis placed fifth in breast stroke.

GOLF TOURNEY A mixed two ball golf tourney will be held at the Windy Hill Country Club Saturday evening starting at 5:15 p.m. with a Shot Gun Start.
