Sunday School will be conducted each Sunday at 9:30. Mrs. Mona Shumaner visited Ola Wilson and Clara Dawson a few’ days the past week and attended the Shumaker reunion in Lafayette on Sunday. Mrs. Olive Baird attended a family reunion in Milligan Park Crawfordsviile Sunday, the honored guests being Mr. and Mrs. Walter Evennan and family of Nebraska. Mrs. Jessie Hanks and daughters Mary Lynn and Linda visited Mrs. Maude Brothers Monday evening. Many from here attended the county fair at Greeneastle last week and many ribbons came to this community. Mrs. Audrey Hammond and Sharon and Mrs. John Mink visited Mr. ami Mrs. Joe Brothers Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. James Maudless and family were hostesses to the Lawler reunion Sunday. Mrs. Paul Shelburgs and Edna, were in Craw’fordsville on business Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Shellings and family attended the Black reunion in Milligan Park Sunday. Jimmy Brothers spent Friday night with his grandmother Brothers. Mrs. Dennis Clodfelter, Mrs. Nora Routh, Mrs. Maude Brothers and Mrs. Norman Roth and her neice from Indianapolis attended communion services at the Presbyterian Church in Roachdale Sunday morning. Mrs. Verna Miller spent a few days last week with Mr. Russell Miller and son while his wife was away. On Saturday Russell and son came home with her and they all had Sunday dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Miller and family. Mr. and Mrs. George Murphy of Tower Hill. Illinois spent Saturday night and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Grider. Putnamville WSCS Met Wilh Mrs. George Friend Mrs. George Friend w’as hostess to the WSCS of the Putnamville Methodist church Wednesday evening, July 24, at 7:30 o’clock. Mrs. Orville Collins was assistant hostess. The meeting w’as begun with group singing of the hymns “The Beautiful Garden of Prayer,” “The Lord’s Prayer” w’as prayed in unison. Thriteen members responded to roll call with a favorite scripture verse. A short business - meeting was conducted by the president, Mrs. Earl J. McCullough. The secretary, Mrs. Thomas Fisher read the minutes of the previous meeting. The financial report was given by the treasurer. Mrs. Eugene Stringer. After the business had been conducted, this portion of the meeting was adjourned by the

president.

Miss Billie McClure, program chairman, began the worship with a special prayer for children. The scripture was read from Mark 10-13:16. “Ministry to children of Special Needs" was the topic Miss McClure chose and

very capably presented. During the social hour tw’o contests were given by the hostesses and the winners were Miss Billie McClure and Mrs. Thomas Fisher. Our hostesses served delicious refreshments and a pleasant evening v/ns had by all. Our next meeting will be at the home of the Misses Elizabeth and Billie McClure, August 28, at 7:30

Wayne Tharp hit a triple and Ronnie Bunten smashed out a home run to win for Fillmore. Jim Craig was the winning pitcher. Fillmore will meet Whitestown, at North Salem, Friday at 6 p.m.
