The Hoosier Campers Ch pter of National Campers & Hikers Associations will hold a meeting Thursday, Aug. Sth, at 7:30 at the park. They reported that a quantity of straw, left over from last week's fair, and some discarded light poles were being burned. At the Marshall, HI., Fair this week, Emory and Wendell Brattain hud the Grand Champion Tamworth sow. They also had the Champion Barrow over all breeds and the Champion pen of barrows over all breeds. Three boys from Putnam County participated in a "Day on Campus" at Purdue June 24th through July 19 was set aside this year as an orientation period for freshman entering school this fall. The boys participating were Joseph R. White, Route 1, Bainbridge; John L. Smith, Greencastle: and David Britton of R. R. 1, Roachdale. Mr. Huber is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Huber of Cloverdale, Indiana Kent is a graduate of Cloverdale High School class of I960 and is now employed at Allision in Indianapolis.

Thursday Club Met With .Mrs. Allen On Friday, August 2 the Thursday Club met at the home of Mrs. Averil Allens. Nine members and two guest was seived a good dinner. Afternoon the meeting was called to order by our President Mrs. Edna Cox with the group singing the club song "America” Prayer was repeated in unison. Roll Call was answered and dues collected. Secretary report was read and approved. Treasure report was read by Mrs. Stella Vickroy. Flower report was read by Mrs. Vietta Larkin. The guest at the meeting were Timmie McQueen and Lyndell Allen. The meeting was turned over to the Hostess and games were played with each receiving a prize. The door prize went to Mrs. Esther Cradick. Menu was made out for next meeting whicn will be at the home of Mrs. Alma Grimes Sept. 5th. Roll Call will be your first school teacher.
