School in Brinkley, Kenucky. As a special event of the “Delta Dreams’’ convention, tours were made through Delta Theta Tau Home. Secretary. Mrs. Alex Balka, Plymouth, Indiana; Treasurer, Mrs. Ardis Huddleston, Little Rock, Arkansas; Eastern Counselor. Mrs. B. D. Lucas, Chicago, Illinois; Western Counselor, Mrs. Max Sears, Delano, California; and Secretary of Philanthropy, Mrs. Milton Bowman, East Chicago. Indiana. Next year’s national convention will be held July 15-18 in Denver, Colorado.
.Mr>. Hoover Reports On IMt Convention Returning home fiom the 55th Inter-national Convention of Delta Theta Tau Sorority held in Dayton, Ohio, July 16-20, was Airs. Ben Hoover, the president of the local chapter. The other member attending from Greencastle was Miss Judy Reynolds, local corresponding secretary. Delegates from 208 active chapters attended the convention with 497 non delegates. Tne Sorority s’ new international status was made a reality by the recently chartered Chapter in St. Catherines, Ontario Can. The international president, Airs. G. J. Fournier, Detroit, Alichigan, presided for all business meetings. Following election of officers, she was succeeded in the top office by Mrs. Doug Its Dean, Studio City, California. A special highlight was the summary report of national philanthropy, which totaled $123,231.69 given by all chapters during the past fiscal year; plus, $92,127.43 given through chapters’ Golden Hand Fund. Tau, Valparaiso, Indiana won the award for the highest total amaunt spent for philanthropy, by a chapter, with the amount of $3,581.48. Iota Delta. Arvin, California won for fhe highest per capita amount, $125.95. The highest per capita hours for community service was awarded to Gamma Alpha. Danville. Illinois, with 279 hours given by
