Roll call “Indiana Author" was anrwered by 16 members. Treasurer and secretary’s reports given and accepted. Closing prayer was given led by Mrs. Kate Balch. Mrs. Balch gave a very interesting history of Indiana fol lowed by each giving some interesting point on the subject. Refreshments of cookies tea and coffee were served by the hostesses. Next meeting with Mrs. Ruth Hyatt Oct. 9th, at 1 30 p. m.

Airs. Earl Harvey Is Hostess At Club Meet Mrs. Earl Harvey entertained the members of the F. A. H. Club

of the Carpentersville community at her home on Wednesday. Sept. 10. Mrs. Richard Watson was the assistant hostess. President Mrs. James Robbins opened the meeting at the customary time. 1:30 p. m., and the song. “School Days” was sung by the group. Since September marks school opening, members were requested to come dressed as school girls or pay a 5c roll call fine. Oddly enough many 5c fines were collected, the excuse being for many that they no longer had school giil figures. Mrs. Harold Young, secretary, read the report of the last meeting which was approved as read. The condolence committee urged all members to report any

illness or deaths among the members or their families to the committee. Miss Avis Risk and Mrs. Edwin Smith, so no one will fail to receive appropriate remembrance. Mis. Robbins announced two membership withdrawals, Mrs. Ida Stevens because she is moving soon to another community, and Mrs. Flora Irwin, an associate member whose husband’s illness and her own health make it impossible for her to attend. We are sorry to lose these members, but will be happy to welcome them whenever they can attend any future meetings, as guests. Mrs. Deloris Risk of the program committee presented an un-

and interesting “Silhouette Identification” contest and found the mere form and outline of familiar objects of daily use hard to identify. Mrs. Jean Robbins with high score was the prize winner of this contest. Miss Avis Risk presented the holder of the lucky number with a door prize as her program contribution. Mrs. Frances Watson won the door prize. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess to 15 members and the following guests. Barbara and Cindy Robbins. Mariam Kessinger and Lora Jane Myers. Club will meet again Oct. 8th at the home of Gladvs Hall with Mrs. Fred Hall assistant.
