Mrs. IIiilH-rt Miller Hostess To Club The Roachdale Home Demonstration club met Saturday afternoon at the country home cf Mrs. Hubert Miller with a good crowd of members present. In the absence of Mrs. Thelma Goslin, president, Mrs. Betty Ford, prosified. Nineteen members answered roll call by giving current events. As there was no lesson, several subjects were discussed and some contests given which were won by Mrs. Madge Skelton and Mrs. Edna Young. An applesauce cake baked by Mrs. Lillie McFerran and two loaves of date bread, prepared by Mrs. Miller were auctioned off, bringing in a nice sum for the treasury as two members are supposed to bring something each meeting to sell. Mis. Miller assisted by Mrs. Nona Grantham and Mrs. Mary Edith Lookridge served lovely refreshments. The September meeting will be with Mrs. Betty Ford, each member bringing their favorite recipe. The club will entertain the Town and Country Home Demonstration club as their guests.
