"A second thought on first aid'*

We’re eoTMtanffy amazed at the number of childre® whocut, scrape and bruiM themselves within sight (and sound) of our pha*» Biacy. We do a big business in antiseptic^ bandages, and other first-aid items. Same every* where, probably. But sometimes we wonder if people don't depend too much on first aid—ocgW* proper medical attention. If there’s the slightest question in your mind following what appears to be minor Injuries, see your physician. First aJd has definite limitations. Yon can only be sure of proper medical care by seeing your doctor. A prompt visit can save a half dozen laics.

Little League

In yesterday’s game the Braves beat the Yankees 3 to 2 in one of the best played games of the Little League season. It was a pitchers battle between Lannie Allee of the Braves and Gerald York of the Yankees, with each pitcher bearing down in the clutches and with only one run being earned in the game. In the first inning with a runner on due to an error, Lannie Alleesmashed a long home nm over the left field wall scoring two runs. The Yankees scored one in the second when after a hit batsfnan, Tom Troyer singled, diiving in the run. In the fifth the Yanks scored another run on an error tying the game. In the sixth with a, light rain falling, a batter was walked. Then Tony Elmore slammed a double to the wall scoring the winning run. It was Tony’s second straight hit of the game and the big one. It was a hard game for either pitcher to lose with Alice’s home run making the difference. The Yankees left seven runners stranded on the bases and the Braves six. For the Yankees. Tom Troyer smashed a triple and a single for half of the Yankees’ hits. Terry Cronsore slammea a double and in each case both failed to score. Lanme APee went all the way for the win, striking out 13 batters. Gerald York, with a broken thumb, went all the way for the loss sinking cut 12 batters. rue Braves 3 5 1 Yankees 2 4 1

WASHINGTON UPI—Dr. Milton Eisenhower, back from a 20day tour of Latin America, said Friday night *‘the vast majority” of the leaders and peoples there are firm friends of the United States. But at the same time the President’s brother sounded a “note of urgency” in unveiling a threepoint program designed to bind this country and its southern neighbors closer together.
