In a nation as big as ours there is always a tendency to overlook the individual and to think only of groups. Youth gets the brunt of this generalizing. About three percent of our boys and girls are delinquent. But some folks would have us believe that every child is a potential delinquent. Time we realized tnat children aren’t chicks! They don’t grow up by the drawerful to have the same characteristics and habits. Children respond to love, parental example, religious guidance. They possess an ever-increasing aptitude for responsibility, trust, and faith. Most of our boys and girls will grow up to assume their rightful place in an orderly. Christian society. Some will populate our jails. But the destiny of the individual youth is not a matter of chance and percentage ... It is determined primarily by the conscientiousness of loving parents, and by the persistency with which his natural religious interests are cultivated.

Cold Windows Cause Dripping; Wood Stops It One of the pet winter peeve* of home-owners who have metal windows is moisture that collects on sash and frames and runs down to damage painted walls and wallpaper. One cure for this ailment » to install wood storm sash on the room side of the window. Here’* why: Condensation collects on metal -frames and sash during cold weather because metal is an excellent conductor of heat. This is the reason metal surfaces are generally cool to the touch in a heated room. Metal refuses to hold heat well. With windows of pondcrosa pine, this doesn’t happen because wood is a natural insulator. The wood remains warm to the touch, and moist, heated air inside the house won’t leave a deposit of condensation on it. For this reason, storm sash of pondcrosa pine installed inside metal windows relieve moisture problems by stopping warm air before it c^n get to the chill sur faces of the metal frame anc sash.
