Christmas Party At Craver Nursing Home Mrs. Hannah Craver and her staff at the Craver Nursing Home will hold their Christmas party for the patients. Friday December 20th at 7:30 p. m. Families and friends of the patients are asked to bring gifts for the patients to be distributed from the Christmas tree. The Christmas story will be given by Rev. Poynter reported to The Daily Banner office on Saturday that he has a fine row of cotton in his garden, and it was pretty and 'white. Mr. Poynter, who lives on the corner of Tennessee and Wood streets, says that “it looks like almost anything will grow- in Putnam Co." Charles Clark, a partner and bookkeeper of Compton, Wysong Co., Indianapolis Union Stock Yards, has been elected secretary of "The Live Stock Exchange” at the stockyards. He is a graduate of the Fillmore high school and spent three years in the navy on the U. S. Preble in World War

Sewing Club Met On December 11 The Neighborly Sewtng Club met Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Mrs. Evelyn Hannemans with ten members present. Roll call was answered with a grab-bag gift. In the short business meeting we decided to select a new name.. From now on it will be known as The Echo Club. Our club dinner will be held Dec. 19th at 6:30 at the Old Trail Inn. and secret sister g'fts will be given. Contests were won by Marv Ann Sheldon and Dorothy Sutherlin. The next meeting will be in January at the home of Jessie Coleman.
