Mr. and Mrs, Miss Carolyn Irwin became the bride of Donald Flint Sunday afternoon at 2.30 in the First Christian church. The bride is the daughter of Elbert Irwin, Greencastle R. 4, and the bridegroom is the son of .Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Flint, 27 Sunset Drive. Mrs. A. L. Meredith played bri<:al selections on the organ. Mrs. Pat Denny sang t%vo selections, ‘•Because” .and "I Love You Tntly.” The Rev. Elgin Smith read the vows of the double ling ceremony before an altar decorated with six Christmas trees and a bouquet of white gladioli and lighted by eandelabta. The bride, given marriage by her father, was lovely in a White gown of chantilly lace and ^ nylon over satin. The fitted low ULlice was designed with a vee - the waistline, vee neckline with inset of pleated tuile and long tapering sleeves. The bnl- - lerina bouffant skirt of lace tulle - t ers was fashioned with a low I>< plum of lace. Her veil of french i lusion was attached to a pearl tiara. She carried a hppquet of white roses centertjd with a lavender orchid. Airs. Joan Pierce, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore light blue street length

Ushers were John Thomas and Robert Irwin. Mrs. Leo Stultz, aunt of the bride, wore a blue orlon and wool dress with a corsage of pink baby roses. The bridegroom’s mother was attired in a brown wool dress and also wore a corsage of pink baby roses. Immediately following the cer emony a reception was held in the basement of the church. Mrs. Blanche Vaughn returned today from San Diego, Calif., where she visited her brother, Curtis Job. The Friendship Club will hold its annual Christmas party in room 207 at the Union Bidding Saturday evening at 6:30. Putnam County Auditor Alex Bryan has announced that Monday, Dec. 16, is the last day to file claims for the year to be considered by the County Commissioners at their next meeting. Automobiles driven by Emmett Fulford and Elizabeth Sarah Bruner were involved in a traffic mishap on North Jackson street at 3:40 p. m. Thursday. City police estimated damage to both cars at $250. Mrs. Harry’ Barrick of Sarasota, Florida, will arrive Saturday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schafer. Mr. and Mrs. Schafer will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Sunday with open house from 2 to 5 p. m. (Members of the Mothers Service club are reminded to bring a donation for the food basket to the Christmas party Monday evening at 7:30 p. m. at the home of Alma Grimes. There will be a grab bag and Secret Pals will be revealed.

Club Sixteen Home Demonstration Meets The Club Sixteen met in the Union Building ?.t Greencastle for their annual Christmas dinner. We were so sorry to have one member absent.
