IN MEMORY In memory of our father, Oscar H. Wells, who passed away 14 years ago, Nov. 10. 1944. Before our eyes you slowly faded. Growing day by day more frail; Bearing patiently your suffering Without murmur, without wail We not not know why you had to go But things happen for the b°st We miss you so but still we know Dear Father you are at rest. Sadly missed by the Wells children. Ip

Maple Heights Club Held November M«-eting
Opening lead—▲ 4
West opened the four of spades, and South won with the king. South needed tricks in both hearts and clubs, and he had to decide which suit to tackle first. South went after hearts first because West, the opponent witn the long spades, might have the ace of hearts. If West held tne king of clubs, that card would not win a trick for him.
WEST -ENTRYLESS
West refused the first heart hoping that his partner could win. West had to take the second heart, however, and new his hand was entryless. He led another spade, and South refused the tric k South took the next spade ! thus running East out of spades. Declarer could now afford tr ! try the club finesse. East won
