Wilbur Young said today that a capital outlay of nearly 69 million dolla.rs for new classrooms in Indiana the past year “answers the gloom and doom critics of our Hoosier schools’’. Young said the $68,721,791 total outlay was 45 per cent ahead of building estimates for last year. He said Indiana ranked 13th abong states in construction of new classrooms for last year. Sheriffs Favor Deputy Program INDIANAPOLIS UP — The Indiana Sheriffs Association Monday approved a legislative program which would help deputies. The plan which will be given to the 1959 Legislature includes merit employment for deputies.
