Bainbridge Saddle Club
Holds Annual Ride
The members of the Bainbridge Saddle Club living in or near Cloverdale entertained the remainder of the club and guests at Cataract Lake Sunday, Oct. 20. Another ideal day for riding. The sun was shinning and the air crisp and cool. A log fire ready for roasting wieners and marshmallows greeted the horselivers. Hot coffee and cold drinks were served by the hosts. About
forty-five were present.
Thirty-two horses were taken for the afternoon ride through the woods and around the lake with another five miles along a gravel road. The fall colors made such beautiful scenery; one ride, the last of the group, described one scene as one to remember. The trail led up a grassy elope and through the pines. The various colors of the horses, the attire of the riders, combining with natures colors made a stunning picture. At the end of the twelve
Groveland Chib Elects Officers Groveland Homemakers Home Demonstration Chib met Oct. 17 at the home of Mrs. Joe Sutherlin. Eleven members and one guest answered roll call with a bake exchange. Five ehildien were present. Mrs. Cassady gav e the lesson on self improvement. Everyone enjoyed the lesson and learned there are lots of things we can improve if we want to. Safety l*son was given by Mrs. Joe Sutheriin on Safety around com pickers. Mrs. Irwin Wallace invited the club to a party Nov. 2 at 7:30. Election of officers: President. Mrs. Aureal Ardelean; vice president, Mrs. Irvin Wallace; secretary, Mrs. Joe Wilson; treasurer, Mrs. Walter Stelzner. Secret Sister gifts were received by Mrs. Marvin Steele, Mrs. Joe Wilson and Mrs. Harold Hyland. Co-hostess Mrs. William Houser gave a contest won by Mrs. Ryland. Delicious refreshments were served. Next meeting Nov. 14 with Mrs. Albert Solomon.
