Duke of Edinburgh, planned to meet next with leaders of the U. S. scientific world for a ‘’briefing” on the American eartn satellite slated to follow Russia's manmade moon into the skies next March. 'ihe royal couple was scheduled to join the Vice President and Mrs. Nixon for a reception and lunch on Capitol Hill. Later another of the inevitable leceptions was scheduled—the sixth-handshaking siege in seven days. Dinner with Secretary of State and Mrs. Dulles is to be a full-dress affair. Tigers Travel To Ball State Coach Bob Hicks and his DePauw football team will take a tw r o-game winning streak into Saturday afternoon’s encounter with Ball State in Muncie. Impressed with the Tigers ir. their consecutive victories over Indiana State and Valpo, Hicks nevertheless expects the Cardinals to be primed for action in their homecoming tilt. With all-conference tackle Dwight Tallman sidelined for at least tw'o weeks by a knee injury, the DePauw coach now is worrying about his firststring quarter, Morrie Goodnight. Goodnight showed up sick yesterday, and pending complete diagnosis he wdll remain on the question-mark list. Understudying the senior signal-caller have been junior Terry Himan and sophomore Jack Organ. On Ball State’s side of tne ledger, a doubtful participant is halfback Tim Blown, who was injured dining the Cards’ 27-13 won over Evansville last Saturday. Coach Jim Freeman has seen his State crew win one and Lie one in Indiana Collegiate Conference play this season, and the Muncie Teachers currently are riding high in the league’s second place. One notch behind Ball State are Hicks’ Tigers, w'ho owm tne third position with two wans and one loss. The setback w>as handed DePauw by St. Joseph’s defending conference champions.
