Mrs. Hubert Reed, West Walnut Street road and Mrs. Kate Reed have returned home frpm a vacation trip to Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. James Huestis, Greencastle, are the parents of a daughter born Wednesday at the Putnam County Hospital. Harold Crawley, who has been associated with IBM for the past year, has entered the freshman class at Butler University in Indianapolis. Monday is the last day to file claims with Auditor Alex Bryan for consideration by the Putnam County Commissioners at their regular monthly meeting, October 7th. Dr. and Mrs. Lei and Trippett left this morning for Princeton, Ind. due to the death of Dr. Trippett s sister’s husband, Glenn Irvin. Mr. Irvin passed away on Wednesday evening. Burial will be at Princeton on Friday. Delta Theta Tau has announced a Hallowe’en Cardarama to be held at the Armory on Wednesday, October 30, at 8 p. m. The evening will feature bridge, canasta, prizes and refreshments. Proceeds will help finance the sorority’s project of providing dental care for children in the Greencastle schools. Word has been received here of the birth of a son, Wednesday Sept. 25th to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hanneman of Sanford, Florida. The baby has been named Jackie Lee and weighed eight pounds. Mrs. Hanneman is the former Ruth Stites of this city. The father of the baby is stationed at Sanford, Fla., with the U. S. Navy. Anouncement is made of a coon-se in Typing to be added to the studies offered in the Adult Education program given at the High School beginning on October 2nd. The course, which was inadvertantly omitted from the program published in the Banner On September 25, will be taught by Miss Judith Reynolds. This program, sponsored by the Association of University Women and the' Greencastle chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, will extend for eight weeks, ending November 20th. Wiseman of Columbus, O., who had stopped in j Grand Teton National Park, Wyo., where they visited Dr. ! Wiseman’s uncle, a retired surI geon after 40 years, and who was in poor health. Mrs. Wiseman. the former Adah Quinlan, a native of Cloverdale, is a sister of Len Quinlan. Dr. Wiseman has for many years been I connected with Ohio State University as staff doctor. They plan to be home about Oct. 1.
