However, the Pine Meadows chief, George Gronden, informed the New Hartford visitors- -after they fought the blaze for an hour—that it was an underground dump fire that has binned for 17 years and probably v/ijl do so for 17 more.

Miss Virginia Johnson Bride of Charles F. I*egg The marriage of Miss Virginia Johnson and Charles Frederick Pegg was solemnized Saturday afternoon, June 8, at 2:30 in the Bainbridge Christian church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Ernest Johnson, Bainbridge, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard C. Pegg of Silver Lake. Bridal music was played by Jean Scobee, organist. Ronald Wakefield, cousin of the bride, sang "Because,” "O Promise Me” and "My Wonderful One.” The Rev. The full skirt fell into a chapel train. Pearl studded organdy motifs decorated the neckline, hipline and train of the skirt.
