There will be no evening service this Sunday evening since it is felt that many will want to attend the Sunday afternoon session of the State Convention of Christian Churches in Indianapolis. The regular monthly meeting of the Ofticial Board will be held Thursday, May 23, with Herschel Nichols, chairman of the Board presiding. Vacation Bible School begins Monday, May 27, and continues on into the first week of June. This is another phase of the expanding educational work of the Fillmore Christian Church.

DePauw hammered out a convincing 12-6 decision over Butler here yesterday afternoon to pull even with Evansville atop the Indiana Collegiate Conference baseball standings. Although tagged by the visitors for 11 hits, Tiger ace George Halfmann went the distance to post his third league win against two losses. Both DePauw and Evansville have 5-2 records. Big guns in the DePauw attack were center fielder Bob Schrier, who drove in four runs
Rosie Brattain and Arnold FenI wick, were the victors in the fourth annual bowling tournament, held at Varsity Lanes, the past two week-ends. They had a terriffic score of 1321. Doris Tharp and Dale Bowman of Cloverdale, placed second with 1312. This is the second consecutive year that Mrs. Brattain has won the mixed doubles tournament. Rosie and Chet Crawley won it last year. Arnold Fenwick won two years ago with Aretta Domasco.
