Fowler-Poynfer Wedding Saturday Miss Carolyn D. Poynter and Claude J. Fowler were united in marriage Saturday evening at 8:30 in the Bainbridge Methodist church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mi a. Glenn Poynter, Bainbridge, R. 1 and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Fowler, Greencastie R. 4 Mrs. Gf raid Poynter was pianist and Miss Starlet Sue Poynter the soloist. The Rev. Winslow read the vows of the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with ferns ard palms and lighted by two candelabra. The br.de, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina length gown of white lace over taffeta fashioned with a scoup neckline, elbow length sleeves, princess style waist and a full skirt. Her short length veil was attached to a tiara studded with seed peerls and rhinestones. Her mitts w.-re of white lace matching her gown. She carried a white orchid encircled with white french carrations. The n atron of honor wore a gown of gray lace over pink taffeta fashioned identical to the bride’s.
