HIS QUEEN TO DIVORCE HIM
Queen Dina
King; Hussein
AS IF Jordan’s King Hussein didn’t already have enough trouble, word cornea that his 28-year-old wife, Queen Dina, from whom he has been separated, will move for a divorce. Reasons; the 21-year-oid king “has been seeing too many other girls,” and his mother and Dina don’t hit It off too well. This is not only the beginning •f the end of the marriage, but coincides with what may be the beginning of the end of Jordan, too. When Britain finally is out of Jordan, cash and protection and all, it is theorized the nation may wind up being partitioned among Arab neighbors. (International)

An advertisment by America’s Independent Electric Light and Power Companies was noted this w-'eek. It was headed “WUiere do your taxes go?” Continuing, it read, “You may have a pretty good idea w'here taxes go. But did you know that some go to help pay other people’s electric bills? "They’re the families and business that get their eleetricty from federal government electric systems like the TVA. While about 23 cents of every' dollar you pay for electricity from your power company goes for taxes those other people pay much less —only about 4 cents per dollar of I their power comes from the government’s TVA. As a result, \ r ou are taxed more to make up for w'hat they don’t have to pay.”
