IN MEMORY In loving remembrance of William F. Skinner who passed aw r ay one year ago, Jan. 7, 1956. Oh! Call it not death—It is life begun, For the waters are passed, the home is won. The ransomed spirit hath reached the shore, Where they weep, and suffer, and sin no more. He is safe in his Father’s house above, In the place prepared by his savior’s love; To depart from a world of sin and strife, And to be with Jesus—yes—this is life. Mrs. William Skinner and family. ch.

Tigers Defeat Evansville Aces
DePauw’s league leading Tigers made believers of 4500 Evanville fans Saturday night by ! turning back the defending champion Aces, 70-63, in Evansville new Roberts Municipal Stadium. Winning their fifth straight j Indiana Collegiate Conference tilt, the Bengals of Coach Cal Luther proved that their 85-64 decision over the same team here last month was no fluke. Guard John Bunnell scored 15 points during the first half as DePauw built up an 11 point margin, 40-29, and the Tigers expanded the bulge to 44-31 with 16.30 remaining. Although the Aces held their last lead at 12-11, they rallied late in the second half to come within three points of the winners at 58-55 with four minutes to play. Joe Lawlor and Morrie Goodnight hit consecutive baskets to put DePauw ahead by seven points, and Goodnight added a i pair of insurance baskets in the I final minutes. Bunell and Tom Johnson contributed 18 and 14 points, re- ! spectively, to the DePauw total, but scoring honors went to Ev-
ansville's all-conference forward, John Harrawood, with 21 points. Placing without the injured Bob Schrier and second string center Sam Ulmer, who has decided to forego the cage sport, the Bengals were crippled further with the loss of 6-7 Chuck Cleaver.
