Harlan of Indianapolis are spending the Christmas holidays with their son, the Rev. Allan Harlan, and Mrs. Harlan. Mrs. Oscar Phillips passed : away Saturday, Dec. 22. The funeral was held at Dorsey’s Funeral Home Wednesday morning at Indianapolis. ! George and Drew Durham, young sons of Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Durham, are spending the holidays with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Haberkom, in Detroit, Mich. John F. Myers, 18, of 311 North Jaeksdn Street, Greencastle, graduated from the 96th General Course at the National Institute of Drycleaning, Silver Spring, Md.. on December 21. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kennedy of New r York, N. Y. were visitors of the Reid Winsey home during the holidays. Mr. Kennedy, a DePauw alumnus, is internationally knowm in art and theatrical circles. The Farmers Supply, Inc., will ; observe their annua! John Deere Day on Thursday evening, January 3, starting at seven o’clock. The observance this year will be held at the Greencastle Armory Building on north Arlington and there will be plenty of entertainment for every visitor.

Mrs. W F. Kocher has returrted to her home from a three weeks vacation in Ft. Lauderdale and Hollywood, Florida. The Deer Creek Coon Hunters Assoc., will meet at the Club house Thursday at 7:00 p. m. Members please note change of meeting time. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Irwin, Greencastle R. 4, will leave Thuroday for St. Petersburg. Florida, to spend the winter and :o visit their son, Ivan, and family. Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Reeves are at home from Winamac where they spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. John Shortle and family and Mr. and Mrs. Byron Reeves of Chicago. Christmas Day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Burton were Mr. and Mrs. Forest Figg. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Hall and laughter and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Goodpaster. Donald Gobert who won a $50 gift certificate offered by Kappa Delta Phi, tumed it over to Col. Huckleberry who is buying shoes and warm clothing for a family who has been ill. Annual Christmas Dance Scheduled By Sororities Mrs. Don Tourtelot and Mrs. Richard Steinert are co-chairmen of the annual Christmas dance to be held at the Student Union on Thursday, Dec. 27th. The dai>ce is sponsored annually’ by’ the local chapters of Tri Kappa and Delta Theta Tau sororities. Charles Erdmann and his orchestra have been engaged to furnish music for the occasion.

Mrs. Clark Herbert Hostess To Club The Cloverdale Past Matron's Club met Dec. 18th at the home of Mrs. Clark Herbert. The meeting was called to order by the president, Mrs Glendon Herbert, by reading the collect and singing the club song in unison. Roll call responses were by Mrs. James Sipple, Bible Quotations, and were answered by eight members and one guest Mrs. Lena Trussell. Secretary and treasurer reports were given and approved. Mrs. May Markin gave the Christmas story which all enjoyed very much. A card of thanks from the Nannie Furr family W’as read. The club is so sorry to lose such a devoted member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Matron’s Club.
