On Sunday, November 4, the Wesleyan Service Guild of Gofcin Memorial church will be the hostess group for the Wesleyan Guilds of the Greencastle District at a tea to be held from 2:00 to 4:00 o’clock in the Community Room of Gobin church. Mrs. W. B. Landrum of Little Rock, Arkansas, a field workei for the Women’s Division in Missions and Church Extension will be the guest speaker. Mrs. Landrum has travelled widely and has had a long and varied experience in the work of the women’s Society and her talk will be of interest to all women in the organ-
ization.
A social hour will follow' the program and all members of W S. C. S. are cordially invited to be present. .Mrs. Hinotc Hostess To Golden Circle The Golden Circle Club met Thursday evening Oct. 25th with Mrs. Mildred Hinote. The president, Maude Sublett opened the meeting by the group singing the club song. The Lord’s Prayer was repeated in unison. Devotions were rea-d by Marie Craft. Roll call was answered by

Secretary’ and treasurer’s report was read and approved. Mrs. LaRue Gray and Mrs Maude Sublett atttndei the Riley breakfast in Indianapolis and gave an interesting report of j their trip. During the business meeting 1 $25.00 was voted to buy Xmas toys for Riley Hospital. A thank you card was received ! from Riley Hospital for the gifts j that were sent for the patients. The meeting closed by repeatj ing the Club Creed. During the social hour, games i were played and refreshments j were served to eleven members i and children. The next meeting will be : Thursday evening, Nov. 15th with Mrs. Bessie Fellows.

World Community Day services for all church women will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Gobin Memorial church. The Putnam County Women’s Republican Club will hold open house at the Republican Headquarters Saturday, 3 to 10 p. m Come in for refreshments. Miss Clara Childs, of Minneapolis, Minn., visited Miss Eva Milburn and other friends in Greencastle, Monday and Tuesday. Miss Childs was formerly | on the nursing staff of the Putnam County hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Schlatter have returned from a motor trip to Texas and Mexico. During the two weeks they were away, they visited in Monterrey, Mexico, San Antonio nad Corpus Christi, Texas, and returned via ! New Orleans. The Roachdale PTA will meet Monday, Nov. 12th at 8:00 DST. Devotions will be given by James L. Myers. Miss Lillie Britton will present a group of vocal selections. The principal speaker will be Prof. Luderer, Vienna, Austria, who is a Fullbright exchange professor at DePauw.
