Sorority To Hold Benefit Card Party
On Saturday evening. October 27. Delta Theta Tau will hold a benefit card party at the Armory to raise money for the philanthropic work carried on by this group. For several years the primary concern of the local chapter of Delta Theta Tau has been the dental care program for school children During this time appointments have been, made and transportation furnished by members of the sorority so that these children could have the proper care for their teeth which probably would not have been possible for them otherwise. This work is done with the cooperation of the school nurse The group has also furnished and maintained two rooms in the Putnam County Hospital and have carried on many other minor philanthropic programs. Nationally the sorority maintains the Delta Theta Tau Nursing Service at Pippa Passes, Kentucky, where the nurses care for the needs of the mountain people who have no doctors and no hospitals available to them. This past summer the sorority gave $5000 to the Pilot Guide Dog Foundation and there is not room to mention the many other
worthy projects the sorority has supported and is continuing to support. - 4.
