“Definitely.” Frank said. “But, I think t might as well be added to the basic house policy, rather than take out separate coverage on the garage. Don't

Knowing When Not To Finesse Is Also Important Undoubtedly Mr. Muzzy, the ,self-styfled ’’expert” on finessing, would have gone down one on today’s hand. Not Mr. Masters, a real expert at all phases of the game. He knows that one of the principal elements in successful finessing is knowing when NOT to finesse at all.

a heart, and Mr. Masters ruffed. | He then led the king of clubs which lost to the ace—and it was all over. He could control any return and discard the queen of diamonds from dummy on the fourth round of clubs.
TRUMAN SPEAKS
SIOUX FALLS. S. D. (UP)— j Former President Harry Truman on his way here for a speaking ] engagement, said today tne bankruptcy courts were growing active under the Republican administration.
SCHOOL BOY HURT
ANDERSON, Ind. (UP)—Rob ert Owen Ferris, 13, took a flying leap from a moving school bus in front of his home Thursday rather than get off at a regular stop, authorities said. Robert fell under the bus wheels and sustained a broken foot and possible back injuries. He was taken to a hospital.
In today’s deal Mi&s Brash opened the king of hearts and Mr. Masters ruffed. He picked ip the defenders’ trumps in two eads. How would you play from .his point? SEVEN TO ONE Obviously, the problem is how ! .o prevent the loss of as many •3 four tricks in the minor suits. The king and jack erf diamonds and the queen of clubs are the key defensive cards. The odds are seven to one that one of these cards will be right—that is, favorably placed for your purposees. But, as Mr. Masters correcty figured, seven to one is not ?ood enough. Not when there is mother line of play which is an ibsolute certainty. He could not afford to enter dummy with a trump lead in order to lead a dub back for a finesse against the queen. That would leave him with just one trump, which would be knocked out when the enemy got in and forced him again in hearts. If he tried to enter dummy with a diamond, he would have two choices. He could go up with the ace of diamonds, which would risk setting up two quick diamond losers if the guarded king and jack were on his right; 7r he could take a diamond finesse, which would turn the time element in favor of his opponents. FORGETS FINESSING Mr. Masters wisely decided to orget about finessing for the moment. Instead, he simply led 1 small club from his hand. Miss Brash had no better play ban to win with the queen and eturn a diamond. The ten of liamonds was played from the board and it lost to the jack. Mrs. Keen made her best return, r
