Sunday School Class Holds Good Meeting The Pioneer Sunday School ; Class of Somerset church met at l the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russel Scobee on Tuesday night, Ort. 9th, with a pitch-in dinner with 15 present. James Tippin returned thanks. After dinner the meeting was called to order with prayer by Harley Smith. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Election of new officers was in order but they voted thcsame ones in for another year They are president, Harley Smith; vice president, Mrs. Katie Scobee and secretary-treasurer 'Mrs. Osa Brown. The November meeting was postponed on account of the revival meeting going on at the church at that time, but will meet for the Christmas party in December, with Mr. and Mrs. Claude Crodian. All members are to bring a 50 cent present for the grab bag. The program committee for December is Katie Scobee, Osa Brown, Daisy Davis and Russel Scobee. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Harley Smith, Mr. and Mrs Dave Worrell, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Scobee, Osa Brown, Daisy Davis, Mrs. Eva Price, Halle Hibbs, Melvin Smith, James Tippin and daughter, Joan and the host and hosteso. Mrs. Daisy Davis gave two readings and Mrs. Hallie Hibbs had questions from the Bible, after which the rest of the evening was spent in visiting. All left late thanking Mr. and Mrs. Scobee for their kind hospitality, to meet in December with Mr. and Mrs. Crodian.

Mr. and Mrs. Everett Buis Observe Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Everett Buis, Coatesville, observed their 661 h wedding anniversary Friday, October 12th. Mr. and Mrs. Bui: reside four miles south of Coatesville. Mr. Buis is 89 years of age and Mrs. Buis is 85. They (have four children, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Fillmore P. T. A. To Meet Monday The second monthly meeting of the Fillmore PTA will be held Monday, October 15, at 7:00 CST or 8:00 DST. The devotions will be given by Bob Phillips of the Bethel church. The prog^m will be a masquerade. Prizes will be given for .he prettiest, ugliest, funniest, skinniest, neatest, tallest and shortest. A small fee will be charged for all that are unmasked. Mrs. Milhon will present the sixth grade pupils in a musical program.

Esther Taylor Hostess To Busy Bee Club On October 4 th, the Busy Bee Club met at the home of Esther Taylor. A delicious dinner was served at the noon hour. Rozella Hunter, the president conducted the afternoon business meeting. Let Me Call Your Sweetheart was sung, followed by devotions by Mrs. Blanch Ford. Ffifteen members present answered roll call with Riley Quotation. Three guests were present, Mrs. Bowen, Mrs. Best, Mrs. Sutherlin and eight children. Secretary-treasurer’s reports, were given and accepted. A motion was made to put Peggy Ford on the Flower Committee with the other two women. The 2nd group are to serve the Lion’s Club supper October 25th. The cake Helen Williams brought was won by Mrs. Emma Hervey, who is to bripg one next month. A contest was given by Jean Curtis and won by Mrs. Bowen. Club adjourned to meet November 8th at the home of Belle Lasley.

Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Sechman Observe Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Sechman will quietly observe their golden wedding anniversary on Sunday Oct. 14th, at their home on South Milton street in Coatesville. Mr. and Mrs. Sechman were married on October 14, 1906 by Rev. James Tincher at the home of the bridegroom’s parents south of Bethel. Before her marriage, Mrs. Sechman was Miss Ora Reese, daughter of George C. and Louella Reese. Mr. Sechman’s parents were Mahlon and Naomi Sechman. Mr. and Mrs. Sechman are the parents of one foster son, Henry Vernon Sechman, Indianapolis, and one grandson, Michael Lee Sechman of Wilmington, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Sechman have made a home for sixteen children and at the present time are raising three children.

FORT BLISS, Tex.—Pvt. Robert W. Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Jones, 307 E. Berry St., Greencastle, Ind., recently completed eight weeks of specialist training in the operation of the Army’s Corporal guided missile at Fort Bliss, Tex. The training included fire control, launching ground maintenance and mechanical assembly of the surface-to surface missile.

Y., took part in combination air-ground maneuvers held at North Camp Fuji, Japan in September. Elements of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, of which he is a member, joined forces with infantry units of the 3rd Marine Division during the joint exercises held at the base of Jaoan’s famous landmark.
