Four Students In Court Today
LAFAYETTE, Ind. (UP) — Four Purdue University students were in court today for putting a 1200-pound Hereford show steer in the Chi Omega sorority house a week ago. Dean of Men O. D. Roberts suspended the fmir for periods to be determined after the court hearing. “An affidavit will be filed today on a public nuisance charge, said Tippecanoe- deputy prose cutor George Hanna. "It is a public offense to introduce matter where it is obnoxious to the public. It’s the excretion, not the steer, that makes this a crime.” The students appearing at West Lafayette city court were Joseph Long, 20, Cincinnati, an electrical engineering student;
Kenneth Willig, 22, Cincinnati, a senior in mechanical engineering; William Miller, 20, Kokomo, mechanical engineering junior, and Ralph Cutter, 20, Evansville, a sophomore in the School of Science.

ALBANY, Ga. (UP)—Hurricane Flossy whose mighty winds caused at least 10 deaths, including a mother and her three children, on a rampage out of the Gulf subsided today into drenching and needed rain. The sopping storm brought an end to a drought in sections of south Alabama and Georgia. At 8 a. m. the remnants of the once-killing howler were located in extreme southwest Georgia just west of Albany, moving in a direction between northeast and east northeast at 10 miles an
hour.
As the hurricane slashed inland near Panama City, Fla, Monday night two jets were rammed together by the turbulent winds. As one spun to earth it hit a home and killed an expectant mother and her three chil-
dren.
The Weather Bureau said storm warnings remained vip east of St. Mark’s, Fla., to Tampa and along the Atlantic from Brunswick, Ga., to Wilmington, N. C Flossy’s highest winds wei*e down to 50 miles an hour. Tc the north and east of the now ex-tra-tropical storm winds were up to 25 to 35 miles an hour for 300 to 350 miles. Heavy rains were forecast for the day in east Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina, spreading into North Carolina during the day. Those areas should waten for* possible local flood conditions, the weathermen warned. Among late casualties reported from the storm were an unidentified Negro construction worker who was electrocuted by a live wire in Mobile and a 15-year-old Negro boy. run over by a motorist at Slocumb, Ala., who said hurricane whipped rain blinded
him.
A search still was in progress for eight persons isolated in boats or on an island in the cboppy Gulf waters off Louisi-
ana.
