SOfIKTV Presbyterian Women To Hold Luncheon The annual fall luncheon of the Presbyterian Women’s Association will be held Thursday at 1 p. m. at the home of Mrs. L. H. Dirks. The Rev. Hartsock will be the speaker. Please bring table service and a dish of foou. Mrs. Heavin Hostess To West Marion Club West Marion Home Demonstration Club met at the home of Mrs. Alfred Heavin for the regular September meeting. Fourteen members and four children were present. The lesson. Rooms That Meet Needs, was very well given by Mrs. Paul Sinclair. She discussed room arrangement and showed several pictures to illustrate different things that could be done to make rooms more convenient, livable, and attractive She pointed out that television should be viewed from a fortyfive degree angle and that coffee tables are becoming old-fashion-ed. Plans were discussed for future meetings and lessons. Nominations for county officers for the coming year were made to be submitted to the County Nominating committee. Mrs. Kenneth Sutherlin gave the

Ridpath P.T..A. To Meet Friday Martha J. Ridpath Pi A will hold its first meeting Friday evening. Sept. 21, at 7:30. Mrs. Betty Warman, president will be in charge. Mr. Kurtz, School Supt... will speak briefly and at the close of the meeting all parents are to go to the room their children are in to consult with the teacher as to the procedure j for the coming year and what is ! expected of both teacher and child. Refreshments will be served by sixth grade with Mrs. A. D. Sprague and Mrs. H. J. Blume in charge.

Finance Drive Here Thursday League Finance Day has been set for September 20 by the League of Women Voters to begin its third annual finance drive, which will continue for one week The work of the League is svipported by the dues and gifts of members and by public-spiritec men and women in the community. The Green cast Jo League of Women Voters, e .taring its thiid year as a recognized Leagtie of the national organization, is proud of its two year’s accomplishments. Some of these include publication of This Is Greencastle, the result of a thorough study of all important aspects of our local government: a pre-school census, which the League organized and helped complete at the request of the School Board; sponsoring of UN week and UNICEF: compiling of a "Fact Sheet” on the school building program for wide distribution at a P. T. A. sponsored public meeting and PTA meetings; publicizing registration dates for voters in October a’’d May and the publishing of a Candidates’ Quesionnaire for the benefit of the entire citizenry.

Monday dinner guests of Mrs. Bernia Dreher were, Gracia McCullough, Mable Long, Florence Westrick, Jessie Job, Netta Frost, Marie Neese and Eva Job. The occasion being Mrs. Dreher’s birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Elmore have received word of the birth I of a son, Tuesday, to Mr. and , Mrs. James Perry, Akron, Ohio. The baby has been names James Russell. Mrs. Perry is the former Roberta Elmore of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reinstedt, foimerly associated with DePauw University, announce the arrival of a baby girl on Sept. 16 at Murphy Memorial Hospital in Whittier, California. They also have two sons, Lee and Bruce Reinstedt. Mr. Reinstedt is Dean of Students at Whittier College, and they reside at 1255 E. High St., Whittier, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Coan will move to Greencastle from West Lafayette this week to make their future home. They will move to the new home they purchased at 103 N. Arlington. Mr. I Coan was recently retired by Purdue University with which he was associated for many years.
