Miss Viana McCown who is head of the Nursery Department at South Carolina State University at Columbia, is spending ten days with Mrs. Minta Snider. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Buser, Mrs. Wayne Buser and Mrs. Richard Dickerson left for Wisconsin where they will join Wayne Buser and Richard Dickerson for a short vacation. Mr. and Mrs. George W. Gorve and son, John, have returned from a tour of Europe. Mr. Gove directed the DePauw choir when it performed in many of the large cities on the continent. Five energetic ladies, Mesdames Altha Scobee, Iva Hanlon, Ruth Shuck, Wanetta Milligan, and Carrie Cue, spent Thursday afternoon blackberry-picking on the Scobee farm near Brick

Chapel.

Mr. and Mrs. Jess Richardson and Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Richardson have returned from California, where they were called due to the illness of Jess’ mother, Mrs. Joe Richirdson. She is improving now and would like to hear from her friends. Her address is: Mrs: Joe Richardson, 5248 Bluffton Rd., El Monte, California. Friends of the David M. Scotts will regret to learn that they will leave Greencastle the latter part of this month to make their future home in Columbia, Mo. Mr. Scott has accepted a position with the Scott, Foresman Co., Chicago publishers, and will have a territory comprising 45 counties in Missouri. The Scotts moved to Greencastle over four years ago, and have a host of friends in this community. In moving to Columbia, they will again be residing in their home

town.

Mr and Mrs. John Price Jr., o' Houston. Texas, came last iight with the ashes of John R'gger who died a week ago. The ashes were buried in Forest Hill cemetery Saturday morning. A celebration honoring El ward J. Weesner, publisher of the Danville Republican, \vas held on Friday evening at the Cataract Yacht Club. About 25 staff members and correspondents helped Mr. Weesner celebrate his 25th anniversary a^ owner and publisher of the Hendricks County weekly*. A dinner was served in the club house.

Carrie Ziegelman Entertained Tiv» Thursday Club On Aug. 2, Mrs. Carrie Ziegelman entertained the Thursday Club. At noon hour lunch was served to thirteen members and eight children. The meeting was called to order by our president with the club singing the club song. Prayer was offered by the hostess. Roll call was answered with a Bible verse.
