Mrs. Earl O'Hair has entered the Putnam County hospital for treatment and observation. The Auditor’s office announces Monday as the last clay for filing of claims to be considered by the commissioners. Mrs. W. F. Judy, R. 1, is a patient in St. Elizabeth's hospital in Lafayette. Her room number is 205. She would like to hear from

Linen Shower Held For Bride-Elect A linen bridal shower was held at the home of'Mrs. Freddie Girton last Thursday evening hon- ; oring Joyce Mae Sibbitt, a graduate of Fillmore High School and employe of Public Service Co. of Plainfield. Miss Sibbitt, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sibbitt, will be married to Richard R. Earley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Earley on June 24th.
Mrs. Wayne Stanberry was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. James A. Deane, sis-ter-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Eugene Lowe of Tell City. They wore identical waltz length gowns of white shiffli embroidered net over powder blue taffeta slips. The basque bodices were fashioned with scooped necklines and cap sleeves and tucked taffeta cummerbunds fell in long streamers in the back of the very full skirts. They carried colonial bouquets of pink carnations and wore matching hairbraid head-
bands. Misses Sara Elizabeth and Amy Joanne Dean, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. They wore blue taffeta gowns with tiered full skirts, blue headbands, and carried small colonial bouquets of pink carnations. Glen Keefe, Rockport, was best man. Ushers were James A. Deane, brother of the bride, and Arlin McRae of New Harmony. Mrs. Deane wore a dress of powder blue silk shantung with white accessories. The bridegroom’s mother was attired in a pale green silk dress with white accessories. Their corsages were of Amazon lilies. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held in the church. Those serving were Mrs. James Wetzel, of Tell City; Miss Rita Boyle of Terre Haute Mrs. Morris Hampton, cousin of the bridegroom of Clayton; and Mrs. Jack Pibe of Boonville. Mrs. Charles Wilhelmers, cousin of the bride of Boonville, kept the guest i register. * ■ • The couple left on a short wedding trip. For traveling the bride chose a peacock blue sheath dress with champagne accessories. And wore the white orchid corsage from her bridal bouquet. Mr. and Mrs. Hurst will reside on R. R. 5 Lebanon. The bride is a graduate of the Boonville high school and Indiana University and was employed as a teacher at Tell City High school. The bridegroom is a graduate of Belle Union High school, Indiana State Teachers College and has a master’s degree from Indiana University. He has been principal of Tell City high school. Both will teach in the Westfield high school next
year.
