Greencastle, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary with open house at he home of their daughter, Mrs. Theron York, on Sunday. April 15, from 2 to 5 p. m. Federation of Clubs Held April Meeting The Putnam County Federsion of Clubs met Tuesday, April 10, in the Presbyterian church of Groveland, with the Groveland Community Club as hostess. Mrs. Fied Starr of Greencastle. county president, presiding. Registration began at 9 a. m.. .neeting convening at 9:30. Airs. Starr welcomed the gioup, then led in the audible repetition of the Lord's Prayer in unison. Mrs. Walter Steele of Bainbridge led in the Pledge of Allegience to the American Flag, and Miss Susie Talbott of Greencastle, in the pledge to the Christian Flag.

The business session was adequately conducted, and reports of the special committee, as well as the department chairmen and the club presidents showed there was much creative and constructive work being done throughout

all the clubs.

president, of Rockville, addressed the assembly. Subject of her address being "Stand Up and Be Counted.” She stressed the importance of exact amounts of money and space used in publicity of club activities, when sending in reports to district and state olficers. Mrs. Pickel of North Salem, an honor to the 5th District, will run for first vice president of the Indiana Federation of Clubs at the State

her expenses paid.

on in the last year.

Mrs. Eugene Hutchins, chairman of the Hospital Project, reported favorable progress in contributions paid in by clubs over the county, to be used to furnish a room by the Putnam County Federation of Clubs, and to be turned over when a new wing to

the hospital is built.

Mrs. Ross told how music is used in working with children who have suffered cerebral palsy. Mrs. Bergman described the physiological function of music in hearing. Mrs. McCord closed by mentioning some of the newer uses of music in stores, factories, hen houses and cow banns. The meeting lasted just one hour.

Logsdon-Taber Nuptials Read Donna Fae Logsdon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Logsdon R. R. I, De Motte, became the bride of Donald Keith Taber, son of Mr. Janies Taber of Cloverdale, Indiana in a double ring ceremony, Saturday, Alarch 17, at 7.30 p. m. at the Thayer Presbyterian Church. Reverend Schuster of Lake Village officiated. Mrs. Carl Jaeckel was pianist and Miss Sharell Schultz

was soloist.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of lace over nylon taffeta net, fashioned with scoop neckline, fitted bodice with full skirt. Her veil was attached to a crown of sequins. She carried a bouquet of white and pink j hyacinths with a pink orchid. Aliss Carol Kinney, girl friend i of the bride, was maid of honor. Miss Kinney wore a yellow bal1 lerina gown with yellow head band, carrying a colonial bouquet of yellow carnations. The bridegroom was attended by his friend, Robert Claudell, as the best man, and ushers were Marvin Baldwin and Gary

Clark.

After a short honeymoon trip the couple will reside in an apartment in Crown Point.

Alpha Phis Will Hold State Day Saturday The active members of chapter and the local alumnae will be hostesses for Alpha Phi State Day on Saturday. There will - be a coffee hour and a round table discussion at the chapter house during the morning. Luncheon will be served at Old Trail Inn. Following the luncheon a program will be presented by the members of Gamma and Beta- Tau chapters after which various awards will be given to individual members. The featured speaker for the occasion will be Airs. Frederick Davis of Detroit, Michigan. The State Chairman. Airs. Wallace Blue of Terre Haute, will preside over the business session. Airs. James Crawford of Ft. Wayne will assume the duties of State Chairman following the meeting on Saturday.
