Mr. and Mrs. John Mink of Sharonville, Ohio are spending the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Brothers and family. Mrs. Violina Ellis entertained the Country Club Wednesday afternoon with their annual Christmas party. There was an exchange of gifts and secret sisters were revealed. Nineteen members, one child and two guests, Mrs. Kate Watson and Mrs. Betty Ford were present to enjoy the hospitality of Mrs. Ellis and her co-hostess, Mrs. Ival Jeffries. Dainty refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Whitaker have bought the Omer Scott property and are moving to it. Mr.- and Mrs. Jack Torr and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Grimes spent Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Gene Clodfelter in the Den-

nis Clodfelter home. Mr. and Mrs. James Mandleco and family enjoyed a Christmas dinner and exchange of gifts at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lawler on Christmas eve. Mrs. Mae Priest entertained her children and their families on Christmas eve. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Borden and daughter were Christmas guests of Mrs. Esther Lyon and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lang. Dallas Runyan, Jerry and Shery and Eddie Lee and Jimmy Beams attended the Christmas family party of the Bridgeport Brass in Indianapolis, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Fosher spent Christmas Eve with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kelley and son, Mr. and Mis. Leon Myers were guests also. Mr. and Mrs. John Williams entertained their children and their families on Christmas day, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Houston and family stayed for a few days visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McClure and daughters and Miss Bva Willaims had Christmas dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Stone. Mrs. Maude Brothers had her children and their families home for Christmas dinner, they were very sorry one daughter, Mrs. Betty Lawrence and her family were unable to attend on account of illness of her children. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rowlins were guests also. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Dickson and sons and Mrs. Clyde Eads called on relatives here Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Steele had Christmas dinner for their children and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Verne Lisby of Indianapolis and Don Dalton of Bedford called on Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Stone Monday afternoon. Kenneth Shannon has been quite ill the past week. Mrs. Nellie Bales, who was a resident of this place for some time, passed away at the Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville on

Friday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Duncan entertained their family on Christmas day at their home in Raccoon. . .„s. Sarah Baird and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Baird attended the Bales funeral Monday afternoon. Sara and Janet Myers of Purdue and Patricia Henthom of Illinois spent their holidays with home folk. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Baird and family spent Christmas day with Mrs. Sarah Baird on Christmas night, Mr. and Mrs. Baird and sons and Mrs. Kate Everman entertained at dinnsr.
