There will be a Christmas Pageant presented at the Union Valley church, on Sunday, December 18, at 7:00 p. m. The Putnam County Home Demonstration chorus will meet Monday evening, Dec. 19. at 7:30 at the Gobin church Community Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Henry F. (Chic) Stultz are the parents of a daughter, Susan Beth, born Thursday at the Putnam county hospital. Mr. and Mrs. William A. Unsworth and son, Fred, left today for a winter vacation in Florida. They will spent the next ten days in Fort Lauderdale and Miami. The Greencastle Girl Scoius will be caioling Tuesday evening, December 20th. Cali 846-R if you know of any one who would like for these girls to sing- at their door. Mrs. Richard Fulmer and sons of Minneapolis, Mmn., will arrive tomorrow by plane for a holiday visit with her parents, Mr. ana Mrs. Don Marketf.o. Dr. Fulmer will join his family here on Christmas Eve. Mrs. Nellie Pearl Martin. 64, Brazil, a sister of Mrs. Sylvia Bond of Reelsville, passed away Thursday in a Terre Haute hospital. Last rites will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. from the Miller & Son Funeral Home in Brazil.

The members of the Business and Professional Women's Club enjoyed the annual Christmas party at the home of Miss Elizabeth Ward on Wednesday evening. Assisting the hostess were Miss Elizabeth Ensign; Miss Mabel Burton. Miss Helen Black and Mrs. Margaret Potter.

Christmas Supper At Clinton Falls Church The annual Christmas supper will be served at the Clinton Falls church Saturday evening at 6:00 p. m. Everyone is invited to come with well filled baskets and enjoy the true Christmas spirit.

Penelope Club Meets Tuesday Penelope Club will meet Tuesday Dec. 20th at 1:00 p. m. at Boots N Saddle for the Christmas luncheon. The luncheon will be followed by the Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Vernon Shirley. There will be a 50c gift exchange. Members are reminded to bring food for the Cheer basket to this meeting. Women Meet To Form New Club A group of West Marion Home Demonstration Club members mei. on Wednesday, December 14, at the home of Mrs. Verlin Cash to organize a new Home Demonstration Club. Mrs. Paul Sinclair took charge of the meeting by introducing Mrs. Paul Cassady, county Home Demonstration agent and Mrs. Paul McKeehan, county club president. She then asked each person present to introduce herself. Mrs. William Craig led the singing of America. The club creed was repeated. Mrs. Cassady gave a brief period of instruction as to the purpose and goals of home demonstration work. Its primary purpose is education. She stated that it makes up the largest organized adult educa-tional group in the world. Mrs. McKeehan told of some of the activities and achievements carried out by the clubs in this county. Mrs. William Craig read the duties of the local officers after which she was elected president. Mrs. Craig then took the chair and the following officers were elected: Mrs. Doyle Nichols, vice-president, Mis. Gene Ca-sh, secretary-trea-surer; Mrs. Jack Ozment, publicity secretary. Mrs. Craig appointed Mrs. Verlin Cash, song leader; Mrs. Robert Cash, Safety Leader; Mrs. Donald Cash, Outlook Leader. Mrs. John W. Cash, Mrs. Verlin Cash, Mrs. Doyle Nichols, Mrs. William Woods, Mrs. Jack Ozment, and Mrs. Robert Cash volunteered as lesson leaders for the coming year. Members of the new club had an opportunity to sign up for and Special Interest Lessons coming in the next year in which they were interested. Plans were made to meet on the second Wednesday of each month, wdth the next meeting to ba at the home of Mrs. Wm. Craig a-t 1:00 P. M. on Jariuary 11. Members of the West Marion Club will give the lesson on ‘‘Quick and Easy Meals.” Those on the roll in the new club are: Mrs. Wm. Craig, Mrs. Doyle Nichols, Mrs. Gene Cash, Mrs. Jack Ozment, Mrs. Verlin Cash. Mrs. Robert Cash, Mrs. Donald Cash, Mrs. John Wayne ash, Mrs. William Woods, and Mrs. Lao Pickett. This makes 30 Home Demonstration Clubs in the Putnam County Organizat : on.

.Mrs Ulodfelter Is Hostess To Club The Christmas meeting of the Community Servics Club was a-t the home of Mrs. Ralph Clodfelter. In the absence of our president, Mrs. Wayne Marks, Mrs. Dale Ross had charge of the meeting. Mrs. Paul Smith read the History of the song of the month, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” was led by Mrs. Norman Evens. The creed was led by Mrs. Albert Harshbarger and Flag Salute by Mrs. C. E. Coffman. Outlook lesson by Mrs. Cecil English and Safety Lesson by Mrs. Max Clodfelter. A card of thanks was read from Mrs. William Chadd, who left our club and moved to Georgia. A donation was made to our Community Christmas project and to the Mental Health Christmas Cheer, also a F.B. bond was purchased. After all business was taken care of, all drawed names for Secret Pals for the coming year. Everyone joined in singing Christmas carols. Mrs. Cyr.l Masten read a Christmas Story, “The Little Gray Lamb,” and Thursa Evans song a solo, “O. Holy Night.” Following this all seated around a lovely lighted Christmas tree and received a gift from their secret pals. During the social hour lovely refreshments were served by Mrs. Clodfelter and her cc-hostess, Mrs. Max Clodfelter. Twentyfour members and two guests, Mrs. Jc.vnes Nicholson and Mrs Norman Evens were present and later became members.
