Mrs. Marie O’Neal was admitted to the Putnam County hospital Sunday for surgery. Stevie J. Pritchard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Burnace Pritchard, Jr., under w^nt a tonsil operation at the county hospital Monday morning. V. F. W. Ladies Auxiliary will meet Wednesday at 7:30 p. m. at the Post Home. There will be a $1.00 grab bag. All members are urged to attend. The West Floyd Home Demonstration Club will hold its Christmas meeting at the home of Mrs Galvin King all dry Wednesday, Dec. 14th. Special program and grab bag. Mrs. j Long passed away Saturday at ■ her home in Indianapolis. She is survived by the husband, three sons and three daughters, tweii-ty-one grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

THREE I. C. STUDENTS ARE RESCUER FROM A CA\ E i
BLOOMINGTON. Ind., Dec. 12 UPj— Three Indiana Universersity students crawled to safey from an abandoned saltpeter ave Sunday night, three hours <fter a rock slide trapped them 10 feet underground. Rescuers led a girl and an air force student through knee-deep water to a second entrance to the cavern. Another Air Force man pulled himself out by rope past the bolder which had endangered their exit. The students, Barbara Reahard, 20, Wabash, Ind., Robert Iordan, 24, Seattle, Wash., and Lawrence Cooke 19, Lonsdale, R. 1. were treated for exposure but were not injured. They were part of a party of ix khaki-clad students who slid .hrough the cave entrance four niles from the campus to exdore passageways. Three of hem pulled themselves to an up>er ledge by rope, which loosen;d a barrage of rocks, tumbling east the three below.
